Pick European, not American
European roulette has a 2.7% house edge. American (with the extra 00) has 5.26% — almost double. Always choose European or French wherever possible.

- Straight up (35:1).
- Split, street, corner (8:1 to 17:1).
- Red/black, odd/even, high/low (1:1).
- Dozens and columns (2:1).
Bankroll for roulette
Roulette is high-variance even on even-money bets. Plan for 50× your average bet as a session bankroll, and don't chase losses with the Martingale — table limits and your bankroll will both fail you eventually.
